I am an old Aussie man I have a general and cultured accent but sometimes it goes broad when I have a conversation with my mates and strangers. My parents were Polish immigrants so it was difficult to translate Aussie slang to them.

Upspeak is most prevalent to me in two areas - footy players being interviewed on TV, and the military. I think it's a group habit more than anything. People I know didn't use it before they joined up. Just like in central Queensland they whack an 'ay' on the end of every sentence. Easy to pick up if you live there for a while, easy to drop when you leave. Regarding singsongy - I have heard it described by an English person as bouncy and cheerful. Bizzo - never heard of it, won't use it.

As an Aussie, there is no point to this video to explain anything, he was speaking clear English, it wasn't Irish or something, no matter what country you're from, there is no explaining needed here, the legend talks like a normal Australian, very little slang if you ask me, and the guy who wanted to make this video explained exactly what the legend already said, in almost the exact same way lol. Even Kim Jong Un would understand what he said. The legend being interviewed: I was in bed sleepin, 2 o'clock this morning my wife comes in and says someone ran into the shop, I walked out the front and i seen the car smashed. Now let's hear it from our English expert to break it down: So what happen is, his wife woken up in the middle of the night, and heard a massive crash, and it turns out the shop on the corner has been run in to by a car, and the front of it just collapsed. I'm glad you explained that because after listening to the very understandable English legend, I thought he was saying, an alligator was having a few cold ones with a lizard, and while playing a game of cards, some fireworks went off outside.

There is an accent that unnecessarily adds a Kermit the Frog R into words like boat. It sounds like "BOWrT"... This is worst accent on Earth.

Thanks for the tip mate… I had been in Australia long time and picked up almost the accent before I came to Bangladesh. So I don’t find any difficulty whatsoever to get you or any other Aussie blocks, in fact I have got couple of my mate ongoing talking with me at least once in a week.
